Job Openings for Energy Efficiency Engineers

SBW Consulting, Inc., a national leader in the operation and evaluation of energy efficiency programs, has a number of openings for full-time Energy Efficiency Engineers in our Bellevue, Washington office.  Candidates interested in working from California locations will also be considered

For 17 years SBW’s engineering staff has helped clients identify, analyze and verify savings from energy efficiency opportunities for lighting, HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, compressed air and other major systems in both commercial and industrial facilities.  More than 1,000 facilities have been served in 10 states. We are looking for highly motivated engineers who have strong interest in this type of work.

Responsibilities

  • Identification of efficiency opportunities in commercial/industrial facilities.

  • Installation of monitoring equipment, e.g., power, pressure and temperature.

  • Analysis of costs and benefits for proposed efficiency projects.

  • Inspection, verification and commissioning of efficiency projects.

  • Development of client reports and presentations.

Requirements and Relevant Qualifications

  • At least a B.S. degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

  • Experience with inspection and verification of efficiency projects.

  • Experience analyzing complex systems such as HVAC, refrigeration, or compressed air.

  • Excellent client management,  writing and computer skills.

  • Willing to travel up to 25% time.
