Many efficiency programs require the measurement and verification of savings
achieved by efficiency projects. In recent years, we have provided measurement
and verification services for Seattle City Light, PacifiCorp, Puget Sound
Energy, Pacific Gas and Electric, Portland General Electric, Southern California
Gas, and National Grid USA. In each case, we have implemented the least
expensive verification procedure that could deliver a reliable estimate of
savings. In some cases, this involved the short-term installation of simple
light or motor loggers. In other cases, we have installed multi-channel data
recorders to measure temperature, true power or flow on complex systems such as
rock crushers or injection molding machines. We can provide any of the following
measurement and verification services:
-
Verification of savings from efficiency
improvements using custom engineering models.
-
Whole-building hourly simulation studies using DOE
2-1E to estimate or verify impact of HVAC and refrigeration efficiency
improvements.
-
Analysis of heating and cooling capacity
constraints or requirements, using simulation or bin techniques.
-
Statistical analysis of utility records or
metering data to verify impact of efficiency improvements.
-
Analysis of energy code compliance.
-
Specification of commissioning procedures.
